Vadakkumnathen & Paramrkavu Temples

The world famous Pooram festival is conducted in Vadakkumnathen temple. It is the biggest temple festival in Kerala. Vadakkumnathenis a Siva temple. it is in the heart of the city. Thousands of devotees visits here. Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple is just 28 Km distance only.

Kerala Kalamandalam

is an Art and Culture University . it is a major center for learning Indian performing arts, especially of Kerala. it is the main school of Kathakali, koodiyattam, kuchukudi, etc. You can make a half day visit to here.

Peechi Dam & Hill station

Just 21 Km from Thrissur city, Peachi dam is located. It is a tourist destination now. The dam started for irrigation project for agriculture and drinking water in Thrissur city. It has a vast catchment area with extensive botanical gardens. The dam and the garden attract tourists. it is part of Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.

Nelliyampathy Hill station

You can have a day trip trip to Nelliyampathy from Thrissur, it is 78 Kms from Thrissur, Pothundi dam , Tea estaes, Suicide point, farms and over all cool climate makes this trip attractive.

Punnathurkotta- Guruvayur
