Vadakkumnathen Temple
Pick up from  Thrissur railway station/ bus stand, Move to Vaddakunnathan temple. 
It is believed that the first Shiva temple created by Lord Parasurama, popularly known as Vadakkunnathan. It is situated at the heart of Thrissur city. It is 
 
derived from 'Thiru-Shiva-Peroor', which literally translates to "The city of the sacred Shiva".
 
Vadakkunnathan temple is surrounded by a massive stone wall enclosing an area of nearly 8-9 acres. World famous pooram festival is celebrated here.



Vilangankunnu 
Vilangankunnu is a beautiful Hillock,a popular picnic spot and recreation ,centre. vilangenkunnu gives a panoramic view of the city from the top. a specially designed park with amusement rides to entertain children.



 

Guruvayur SriKrishna Temple
Guruvayur Sri Krshna Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krshna, located in the town of Guruvayur in Kerala, India. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus.



 


Visit Elephant fort
Over forty elephants are groomed at the Punnathoor Kotta ( kotta means fort). Many elephants are brought as ritual offering to the temple. You can spend a whole day with these huge mammals here Watching the naughty baby elephants.



  

Mummiyur Temple
Hardly 1km from Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple, famous Mummiyur Mahadeva Temple is situated. It is believed that dharshan at Mummiyur Mahadeva Temple is also a part of Guruvayur Pilgrimage.




 

Chettuva Backwater & Beach
Chettuva Backwater is located on the side of NH 17 near to Chavakkad at Thrissur District in Kerala. There is a bridge across Chettuva backwaters, part of NH 17 highway. Chettuva backwaters joints Arabian sea at Azhimugam see sight. It is an upcoming tourist sport with different type of boat cruising fdacility. There are a lot of tourists taking backwater cruise at Chettuva backwaters. Raja resorts promotes backwater boat cruise in Chettuva. It hosts Kandal Forest which helps to prevent Tsunami like floods.
 

Bible Tower is the bell tower of Puthenpalli or Basicilica of Our Lady of Dollorus Thrissur. It is the largest church tower  in Asia and is decorated with wood  and Brass carvings, oil paintings, stained glasses, canvas and terracottapaintings, & Murals.


 



Paramekkavu Temple
Paramekkavu is near to Vadakkumnathan Temple at the heart of the city. It is part of Thrissur Hindu Pilgrimage. This is one of the main part of celebrating world famous Thrissur Pooram.

Really narrates the histoty of Trichur (Thrissur), it is one of the cultural, architectural and historical important palace of he erstwhile Maharaja of Cochin, now converted into a heritage Museum. 10 am to 5 pm except Tuesday.



 

Zoo
One of the main attraction of Thrissur tourism is Zoo & Museum, perhaps this is the most famous zoo in Kerala hosts a wide variety of wild animals. Thousands of tourists are visiting every day, it is a memorable eye site.
